SOPHIE: Ahh. There we go. What a dump. When I think castle, this is not what I picture. Well, one nice thing about getting old is nothing frightens you.

CALCIFER: I don’t envy you, lady. That is one bad curse. Curses are tough. You’re gonna have a very hard time getting rid of that one.

SOPHIE: The fire spoke!

CALCIFER: Let me guess. The curse won’t allow you to talk about it, right?

SOPHIE: Are you Howl?

CALCIFER: No, I’m an extremely powerful fire demon named Calcifer. I just like to do that once in a while.

SOPHIE: A fire demon. Well, then you should be able to break my curse.

CALCIFER: Maybe, maybe not. Listen, if you can find a way to break the spell that’s on me, then I’ll break the spell that’s on you, you got it?

SOPHIE: If you’re a demon, how do I know I can trust you? You promise to help me if I help you?

CALCIFER: I don’t know, lady. Demons don’t make promises.

SOPHIE: Then go find someone else.

CALCIFER: Come on! You should feel sorry for me! That spell keeps me stuck in this castle, and Howl treats me like I’m his slave. It burns me up. You got to keep the water hot, the rooms warm, keep the castle moving.

SOPHIE: Oh, that’s rough.

CALCIFER: You ever try to move a castle? If you can figure out how to break this thing I’m in with Howl, then you can break my spell. After that, I can easily break the spell that’s on you.

SOPHIE: All right, it’s a deal.

That spell keeps me stuck in this castle.

Huh…
Why do I care about “a man”?
Romantic emotions are nothing but a passing phase, just a form of mental illness.
Heck… Every now and then, even I get in the mood for dumb stuff like that.
I’m a healthy young woman I’ve got needs. Sometimes, I don’t know what to do with myself.
But I’m not stupid enough to get stuck with all that grief just because of some momentary urge to get all mushy.
Besides, if I went out and really started boy-hunting, what’s gonna happen to the SOS brigade?
I mean, I just created that thing!

「一時の気の迷いで」はjust because of some momentary urge to all mushyとなっています。 be not stupid enough to…

KYON: Then do you know what’s going on? And are Haruhi and I the only ones stuck in here?

KOIZUMI: That’s it. The thing we’ve been afraid of happening all along is starting to happen right now. It seems Miss Suzumiya’s finally given up on the real world. She’s decided to create a new one now. In other words, this is the end of the world.

1. fixed or unable to move from a particular position
This door seems to be stuck – can you help me push it open? ←
Sara tried to open the window but it was stuck. ←
Seven of us were stuck in the elevator for over an hour. ←
They got stuck in a traffic jam. ←
The boat was stuck in the mud. ←
I’ve got something stuck in my throat. ←

2. unable to escape from a bad situation
We’d be stuck if your sister hadn’t offered to come round and look after the children tonight. ←
I’m stuck in an adverse situation. ←

3. unable to do any more of something that you are working on
I’m really stuck. Do you have any ideas how to answer these questions? ←
Can you help me with my homework, Dad? I’m stuck. ←

He met her only once and is already stuck on her.
